Overthinker (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website overthinker.space. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

What We Collect

• Email address and name if you create an account.
• Date of birth (month and year only) for age verification at signup. We require users to be 18 or older.
• Thought entries including text you type into our tools (Thought Dumper, Decision Unsticker, Sleep Worry Notepad, Daily Thought Audit, Decision Journal). This is stored in your private account so you can track your patterns over time.
• Assessment responses including answers to the Overthinking Quiz, Anxiety Test, Stress Test, Decision Fatigue Test, and Cognitive Distortions checklist. These are NOT stored unless you create an account.
• Usage data including anonymous analytics (page views, feature usage) via Google Analytics. We ask for your consent before loading analytics cookies. You can reject them and use the site normally.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT sell your data to anyone. Ever.
• We do NOT use your data to train AI models. When AI features are used, our AI provider (Anthropic) has a zero data retention policy and does NOT retain or train on API data.
• We do NOT share your data with advertisers.
• We do NOT allow our team to browse your thought entries. Database access is restricted by Row Level Security. Each user can only access their own data.

AI Processing

Paid plan features may use AI to analyze your data and surface patterns on your dashboard. AI never interacts with you directly. It works behind the scenes to generate insights from your accumulated entries, scores, and journal data. When AI processing is used, your data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic has a zero data retention policy: they do not store, log, or train on data sent through their API. Your data is processed and discarded immediately by the AI provider.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with encryption at rest. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Export: You can export all your data as a JSON file.
• Delete: You can permanently delete your account and ALL associated data with one click. This action is immediate and irreversible.
• Portability: Your data belongs to you. We make it easy to take it with you.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (page views, feature usage). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data.

When you first visit, we ask for your consent before loading any analytics cookies. If you reject cookies, Google Analytics is never loaded and no tracking occurs. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking. We do not share analytics data with third parties beyond Google Analytics.

Free Tools

Our free tools (Overthinking Quiz, Thought Dumper, Decision Unsticker, Cognitive Distortions, Decision Fatigue Test, Sleep Worry Notepad, Anxiety Test, and Stress Test) work without an account. Data entered into free tools is processed in your browser only and is NOT stored on our servers unless you have an account and choose to save it.

Singapore PDPA Compliance

We comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We collect personal data only with your consent, use it only for stated purposes, and protect it with reasonable security measures.
